What a year.
I mean really, I don’t have to get into it, do I? Aren’t you tired of the newsletters and blog posts and commercials and literally every other thing in life calling attention to what a crap year this has been? I’ll save you the trouble by just saying that through all the trials 2020 has thrown our way, we’ve made it to the end of the year.
Is it just me, or did 2019 fly by faster than… like… any other year in existence? My mom says that’s just how it seems the older we get, and that if I think time is flying now, wait until I have kids. This was an amazing year in my books. Sure, there were many trials and tribulations, but overall, 2019 was a rebirth for me. I left 2018 in a broken state. The end of the year was rough to say the least, and I hobbled into 2019 hopeful but scarred, a Phoenix risen from the ashes but wary […]
2017 was the fastest year to ever happen ever. Or at least, that’s what it feels like to me. I guess as we grow older, we tend to feel that way about every year. It seems like time only ticks faster and faster, and now here we are, right on the cusp of 2018. 2017 was an incredible year for me. I went into it with the mindset that it would be a year of personal and professional growth, as well as a year of discovery — and man was I right. I’ve traveled to more than 15 cities this […]
Wow. What a year 2016 has been. I’ve joked throughout the year with my friends and family that 2016 can stop ANY DAY NOW with all the crap it’s been dumping on me. And yes, in many ways, 2016 has been one of the hardest years of my life. From financial and family issues to personal health and crappy luck, I’ve had quite the year of riding down a pothole-ridden road on a bike with two flat tires. That being said, 2016 has also blessed my life in many ways. I published the second season of Palm South University, which […]
First let me say, if you and your book club have selected Weightless as your monthly read, I am truly honored! I wish I could attend every single book club to chat one-on-one with you about your thoughts on this story. However, since that’s not the case, the least I can do is help you guide your discussion. Below are several example discussion questions you can use for your book club. Please don’t hesitate to email me at email@example.com with any questions from your group. I’ll do my best to answer in a timely manner! Weightless Discussion Questions: What […]
I’m so excited to introduce my next full length release… Weightless. Weightless Coming June 16th I remember the lights. I remember I wanted to photograph them, the way the red and blue splashed across his cold, emotionless face. But I knew even if my feet could move from the place where they had cemented themselves to the ground and I could run for my camera, I wouldn’t be able to capture that moment. There was no shutter speed, no lens, no lighting technique that could properly encapsulate everything I felt as I stared into his eyes. I had trusted him, […]

This year has been such a ride for me. On top of publishing Black Number Four, Palm South University: Season One, and Tag Catcher, I also read a lot of incredible books. Therefore, it’s time for my top reads of 2015. Did I mention there’s a giveaway involved? Because there TOTALLY is. Read through my faves and find details at the bottom. Or scroll down and skip it all to enter. I won’t judge. 😉 * Please note, these are the top books I READ in 2015. It doesn’t necessarily mean they released this year. * I couldn’t for the […]
OH EM GEE, YOU GUYS. The day has finally come. It’s time to reveal the Black Number Four cover! Squee! We had the photo shoot for Black Number Four on January 31st and it was AMAZING! Austyn Bynon, my photographer who’s been with me since the beginning, was on set, of course. We also had Etienne Turner (my Greek little brother) and Sydney Gray, a really close friend of mine. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have such hot and talented friends, but they did amazing! After hours and hours of editing and designing and re-designing and […]
2014 was an amazing year for me. I published my second novel, a short story, and announced my third project which will be released early spring 2015.
