So, have you ever had one of those surreal moments where you’re like, “This can’t be real life.”?
Well, I am currently having one.
If you’re a fan of romance novels, then names like these will ring major bells in your head and probably bring a slew of book boyfriends to mind:
Jamie McGuire
K. Bromberg
Cora Carmack
L.B. Simmons
Erika Ashby
Rachel Van Dyken
I mean honestly, if you read romance and at least one of those names doesn’t sound familiar to you, we have issues.
Well, something really cool about all of these authors (plus about 50 more) is that I have something in common with them (other than being a romance author).
Can you guess what it is?
Okay okay, I can’t wait anymore. I’ll just tell you.
WE’RE ALL GOING TO BE AT THE SAME AUTHOR SIGNING.
Yeah. You read that right.
Okay, time for a little back story. So most of you know I currently live in Tampa, FL, but what you might not know is that I’m an Okie. Yep – I was born and raised in a small town called Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Most of my family still lives in that area, and I frequently visit. Anyway, I saw this AMAZING author signing was happening at the Hard Rock in Tulsa in 2015 and I was like OH MY GOD I HAVE TO BE THERE.
So, I reached out to the page and was like
And they were super nice, but told me that they weren’t sure if they were going to add any additional authors to the signing. So essentially, I was put on the “Maybe, Maybe Not” waiting list.
So months pass, and there’s no word, and I decide what the heck – might as well try following up. So I do, and then something magical happens. See, if you didn’t know already, I’m kind of obsessed with a series by Jillian Dodd called The Keatyn Chronicles. I’m in the book group on Facebook and we are in this little competition thing and it just so happens that one of the amazing, super sweet, super talented ladies behind the author event in Tulsa is in my group.
Her name is Erin, and she’s a boss. Anyway, so she’s like “Don’t say anything yet, but I THINKKK you might be being added to our event. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I’ll keep you posted.” Only a few short days later it was confirmed, and as of today – my name is added to the event banner along with some of the most incredible authors ever.
So, long story short, I’m going to be at the Hard Rock Author Signing in May of next year and I am so incredibly excited/amazed/honored. Tulsa peeps, mark your calendars!
Stay Beautiful,
K.S.
